CNC machining is a popular manufacturing process used in various industries. As such, it’s natural to have questions about it. Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers to help you better understand CNC machining.

Is there a minimum order quantity required?

Absolutely not! Unity Manufacture is pleased to offer prototype creation and short to medium-run production machining services, with no minimum quantity required.

What file formats does Unity Manufacture accept for design submissions?

We prefer 3D drawings in STEP, IGES, or X_T formats and 2D drawings in PDF format with dimension tolerances included, if possible.

What are the payment methods accepted by Unity Manufacture?

You can pay Unity Manufacture in two ways: 1. Wire transfer between banks 2. PayPal

What are the general tolerances that Unity Manufacture can achieve?

For metal machining, we maintain general tolerances of +/- 0.005″ (+/- 0.127 mm) according to ISO 2768 unless specified otherwise. For plastics and composites, the tolerances are +/- 0.010″ (+/- 0.254 mm).

What level of precision tolerances can Unity Manufacture deliver?

Unity Manufacture can achieve precision machining tolerances as tight as ±.0002″ (0.005mm) and manufacture and inspect components based on your specific drawing requirements.

How soon can I expect to receive my parts?

Typically, prototypes have a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks, while production runs take around 4 weeks. However, we do offer emergency and expedited services if needed.
