Powder Coating Services

Order Order Powder Coating Service Online
Powder coating deposits a dry polymer film that is cured into a continuous, impact-resistant layer. It covers edges and corners far better than wet paint and is the default finish for enclosures, brackets and outdoor equipment. Unity Manufacture coats CNC machined parts, sheet metal fabrications and extrusions in the full RAL and Pantone range, from deep matte to high gloss.
What sets Unity Manufacture’s powder coating service apart?
- Full Colour Range: Standard RAL shades are held in stock and Pantone or brand colours are mixed to order, with a drawdown plaque approved before production.
- Controlled Film Build: Film thickness is measured wet and cured on every batch, so corners and recesses meet the specified minimum instead of falling short.
- Correct Pre-Treatment: Zirconium, iron phosphate or chromate pre-treatment is selected for the substrate, because adhesion is decided before the powder goes on.
- Masking and Plugs: Threads, tapped holes, grounding pads and datum faces are masked or plugged so assemblies still fit after coating.
- Overspray Managed: We rack for uniform coverage and keep Faraday-cage recesses in mind when quoting, rather than discovering bare spots after curing.
- Production Repeatability: Cure curves and batch records are retained, so reorders match the parts you already approved.

Powder Options
Chemistry, colour and texture are specified separately. Here is what we offer in each.
Polyester Powders
The standard outdoor-grade powder. UV stable, available across the full RAL and Pantone range, and the default for enclosures and outdoor equipment.
Specialty Powders
Where the environment is more demanding, we run chemistries beyond standard polyester, matched to the chemical, thermal or hygiene requirement.
Finish & Texture
Gloss level and texture are specified separately from colour, and both are verified against a reference plaque before production.
Pre-Treatment
Adhesion is decided before the powder goes on. We match the pre-treatment to the substrate and the service environment.
Custom finishes upon request
Non-standard RAL, Pantone or brand-matched colours can be mixed to order. Send a colour reference or a physical sample and we will match it before production.

Overview: What is Powder Coating?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Electrostatic charge attracts a fine polymer powder to the grounded part, and the part is then cured in an oven where the powder melts, flows and cross-links into a continuous film. Because there is no solvent, the process emits almost no volatile organic compounds and overspray can be reclaimed.
The result is a thicker and tougher film than most wet paints, typically 50 to 150 um, with better edge coverage and impact resistance. The trade-offs are dimensional: the film adds thickness to every surface, masked areas have to be identified in advance, and recessed corners can suffer from the Faraday cage effect where powder struggles to reach. We plan racking and masking around those limits before we quote.
