  5. Quality Assurance: Every production run is verified by CMM, with X-ray porosity screening and pressure decay testing where sealed cavities matter. PPAP documents available.
  6. Timely Delivery: Prototype tools deliver first parts in 20 to 30 days. After sample approval, production cells run to scheduled releases with buffer stock so repeat orders do not queue.

As-Cast

This option provides the fastest turnaround. Parts are trimmed and shot blasted to remove flash, then left with the natural die cast surface of Ra 1.6 to 3.2 micron, with gate and ejector pin marks visible.

Overview: What is Die Casting?

Die casting forces molten non-ferrous alloy into a reusable hardened steel die under pressures of 10 to 150 MPa and holds it there until the metal freezes. Cycle times run from a few seconds to two minutes depending on part size, and the same die repeats that cycle hundreds of thousands of times. Aluminium is melted in a cold chamber and injected; zinc and magnesium run hot chamber or heated-manifold cold chamber depending on alloy and shot weight.

The economics are front-loaded: tooling is the expensive part, and once it is built each piece costs little more than metal, machine time and finishing, so unit price falls steeply as volume rises. That makes die casting the natural next step after machined prototypes or urethane cast pilot parts. Around 1,000 pieces is usually the point where a hardened die beats CNC machining from billet; below that we will tell you honestly whether injection molding or urethane casting is the better bridge.
