Order Low-Volume CNC Machining Online

Welcome to UnityManufacture, where small batches get the same engineering attention as production runs. Low-volume CNC machining is the most economical way to produce 1 to 500 parts when tooling investment cannot be justified: you get production-grade materials and tolerances without committing to a mould, die or hard fixture. It is also the natural bridge between prototype validation and full-scale production, letting you serve real customers while the design is still being refined.

What sets UnityManufacture’s Low-Volume CNC Machining apart?

  1. State-of-the-Art Technology: Parts are cut directly from solid stock using your CAD file, so there is no mould, die or pattern to amortise. Your unit cost stays stable from 5 pieces to 50.
  2. Expert Team: Our engineers review every upload for manufacturability and suggest small design changes that reduce cycle time, often cutting unit cost on small batches by 20 to 30 percent.
  3. Customized Solutions: Small batches are machined from the same certified stock as production runs, so test data and field performance carry over when you scale up.
  4. Tight Tolerances: Low-volume runs follow ISO 2768 (Standard, Fine) and ISO 286 (Grades 8, 7, 6), with tighter callouts quoted per drawing.
  5. Quality Assurance: First-article inspection is included on every batch, with CMM reports and material certificates available for regulated industries.
  6. Timely Delivery: Small batches ship in as fast as five days, and we hold your program on file so repeat orders need no re-quoting.

Advantages of Ordering Low-Volume Machined Parts from Unity Manufacture

back in time

No Minimum Order

Order a single part or a few hundred. With no tooling to amortise, there is no volume threshold you have to clear to make the job viable.

crosshair

Freedom to Iterate

Change the geometry between batches at no penalty. This is the cheapest way to refine a design while meeting real customer demand.

complete

Lower Financial Risk

Validate the market before committing to tooling. Many customers machine the first few hundred units, then move to casting or moulding once the design settles.

membrane

Material Selection

Access certified stock across 30 metals and 40 plastics, including the exact alloy and temper you intend to use in production.

quality

First Article Included

First-article inspection comes with every batch, with CMM reports and material certificates available for regulated industries.

delivery

Scalable to Volume

Programs, fixtures and inspection plans are documented and retained, so the step up to high-volume production is a process change, not a restart.

Overview: What is Low-Volume CNC Machining?

Low-volume CNC machining covers production runs that are too large to treat as prototypes but too small to justify dedicated tooling, typically between 1 and 500 parts. Because material is removed from solid stock under CNC control, there is no tooling cost to recover, which keeps unit prices stable as quantities change.

It sits between rapid prototyping and mass production in the product lifecycle. Teams use it for pilot builds, spare parts, market testing, and for products whose annual demand never reaches tooling break-even. The parts are functionally identical to production parts because they are cut from the same certified materials to the same tolerances. The milling machine’s movements are guided by a computer program, allowing for precise control over the cutting process. This results in high levels of accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency when producing complex parts.
